Japan Bridge Scandinavia is delighted to announce that our collaboration with the City of Malmö and the Minc Startup House has resulted in the establishment of Japan Business & Innovation Hub in Malmö. It was officially inaugurated on 20 May by Katrin Stjernfeldt Jammeh, Mayor of Malmö municipality. Around one hundred people attended the ceremony where we celebrated our new hub. The hub aims to encourage mutual exchanges of innovations and business opportunities between Malmö-Lund/Sweden and Japan.

Among those present representatives from Japan Innovation Network, JSR, Docomo Business, NTT Communications, Sony, Oki, the founder of Axis Communications Martin Gren, Embassy of Japan in Sweden, MAX IV, Medeon Science Park & Incubator, Ideon Science Park, JETRO – Japan External Trade Organization, the Japan National Trade Organization, Fanuc and Former Swedish ambassador to Japan Lars Vargö who shared his ideas and impressive knowledge on Japan’s business life and culture.

The chairman of Japan Bridge Scandinavia Ofelia Madsen stated: “For us, this hub represents a significant step towards enhancing social, economic, and cultural relations between Japan and Scandinavia. We extend our heartfelt gratitude to everyone who contributed to making this hub a reality”.
